Zariyah Hodge, JD, LSW is a licensed social worker in the state of Pennsylvania. She obtained her Masters of Social Work and Law degree from Temple University. She has been in the mental health field for three years, with experience with children, families, parents, and adult learners.
As a mental health therapist, Zariyah operates from a person- centered framework, with the belief that the client is the most knowledgeable about their own life, and therefore, should be able to decide what topics are covered in sessions and make their own decisions. She supports clients in the decisions they choose to make, providing them with coping skills and mechanisms to be able to move through life transitions, obstacles, and conflicts.
She has experience in working with parents, families, individuals, couples, and children. She is able to support clients with a variety of topics, including parenting, conflict resolution, trauma, grief, cultural background, relationships, anxiety, depression, and career and life planning around goals. She often uses the therapy modalities of narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma therapy.
