Amber Atkinson is a dedicated and compassionate licensed master social worker with over a decade of experience in non-profit organizations. Her professional journey has been defined by a profound commitment to serving some of the most vulnerable populations, including foster youth, young mothers, and homeless adults and families.

Amber’s academic foundation is strong, having obtained her undergraduate degree from San Jose State University with a B.A. in child and adolescent development. A graduate degree was obtained from Howard University with a master’s in social work.

Amber has continually expanded her knowledge and expertise through ongoing professional development. She holds certifications in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and project planning.

Throughout her career, Amber has demonstrated an exceptional ability to connect with clients on a deep and meaningful level, fostering trust and empowerment in her therapeutic relationships. Her approach is client-centered, recognizing the unique strengths and needs of each individual she serves.
